well I havent written on her in quite some time apparently May 2009 was my last blog. Well lets get up to date then. I love it here, surprise I know but its nice so does Eric, Jordan is taking her time though. She still misses Tyler, Texas a whole lot and its been hard but I think she is finding some good friends and taking horse riding lesson doesnt hurt either. She wants a horse really really bad, but we would need to move to a new home with at least 5 acres. I did find one but i doesnt have enough bathrooms, I want them to each have there own plus they each have 2 rooms here so I will just keep looking. The weather here has been so cold and we have had ALOT of snow but its different, not the same ole same ole I guess. We are adjusting. The kids are doing great in school, Eric is in middle school, which I like that they have a separate 6th grade principal and 7th/8th grade has their own too. He seems to like it and has made alot of good friends. He is turning 12 in a few days so I am sure he will start acting like a bad teenager, soon but I will take away the XBOX 360 and he will straighten up. We have slowly worked on the house and our bulding a deck in the back today between the rain. Hoping to get a firepit built soon afterwards. Maybe one day a pool or look for a house with a pool, 5 acres, 2 story, lots of rooms, etc.. Jay likes his company and his customers, they seem to go out once a week and even plays golf. And finally me I am excited about starting school on Monday March 29, I am going into Accounting Services. The good thing about that is they have online courses and count as college credits so IF we move I want lose anything. I cant wait for summer I need to make some vacation plans but you know me always procrastinating. Take care everyone and may you trust God that you are where you are meant to be.

well ever since I found facebook i havent gotten on this blog..jordan likes to come on here and listen to the music, so I will problably be on here added some new songs soon...the kids are out of school and we went to houston last week and are going to Tyler next week for jays job and to see my friends...life if okay here in Oklahoma Eric seems to really like it, jordan is not happy with the weather at all...we are putting her passing 1st grade present up today, its a big 18x48 pool for her to enjoy all summer...hopefully it doesnt cause a stir with the association but we will fight them on it..we are growing a garden in the back but abbi keeps digging up a new one every week so not sure how well its going to grow, we may have to enclose it but we are hopeing she will leave it alone now after we scolded her for it but I doubt it..hope everyone has a safe and happy summer cant wait to see some old friends and hope to make new ones...

the oklahoma zoo

Well it was a nice day on saturday before Easter so we headed to the zoo. Since moving here in December the weather has been too cold, wet, windy, etc...but we have been wanting to go to the zoo and decided it was time to go...The zoo is really nice and had lots of different animals to see..the kids liked the bears and jordan said she liked leaving she wasnt 100% that day-starting of a sore throat which is still bothering her today(april 19)..I liked the gorillas and the layout. There is alot more museums and parks we need to check out..We are also going to be going to alot of the lakes with the boat so Eric can kneeboard, so far he has kneeboarded in Texas, Arkansas and now will be Oklahoma we may need to hit every state..Here are some pics

It has been awhile since I wrote on the blog..Eric celebrated his 11th birthday on Mar 30, he also made 4 A's and 2 B's on his report card...Jordan is doing better in school and she now has a reading specialist helping her but that wasn't easy. A couple on not so nice emails to the principal ,who happens to live across the street, made that happen. I am not thrilled with this school here, I wished we would have never left Tyler they were helping her daily and she was improving. The school here just wasted all that she had learned because of proper paper work. Jay and I are doing okay but I still have my doubts about staying here in Oklahoma I am looking forward to going back to Tyler over the summer and being around my friends again..

Well the kids are on their spring break this week and we didn't get to go anywhere this time. As you can see above we decided to have scoobys tumor removed and I am glad we did. It had gotten alot bigger since we have moved and it was intwined in the muscle so he was not as active. He is doing better everyday and wants to play fetch and play in the water sprinkler. I take him for a walk everday by the pond and I do all I can to keep him out of the water. Patience...
Well we have lived in Oklahoma now for alittle over 3 months and sometimes I catch myself thinking what am I doing here. I will see a Oklahoma license plate and think hey they are here from Oklahoma then I realize we are in Oklahoma. I guess I have moved so often that I never know where I am. Plus just trying to adjust to new surroundings, making new friends I just get to the point of "why bother" I will just leave another set of friends and a home. Maybe one day things will feel like normal until then just go along for the ride. I know that I could always go back to Tyler and be fine....

Well lets see, Valentines day was nice I am getting a bench w/ hangers above, cabinets and a rod to hang clothes on built in my laundry room hopefully next week. We got the sod put down yesterday and I have been watering alot. I cannot wait to get out there and play football with Eric no more muddy shoes. Our new neighbors are here and they are building their fence tomorrow. so we will decide on the kind we want very soon. I want a short one so we can still talk with our neighbors behind us. Eric is making lots of friends he just found out another one of his friends from class lives in this neighborhood he is spending the night over there tonight. They moved here from Pennsylvania shortly before we did, even got the house I wanted to look at. Eric said he likes ours better so it made it better. Well hopefully soon we will get to go do some things around here. The weather should start to warm up. We want to go to the Museums, Zoo, Aquarium and Hiking. We need to do some 3 day trips too so I have to start working on those.

What a week

Ok so so far February has not been great nor warm and i hear March is the start of tornado season well yippy ky yah bleep bleep bleep...The tornado was just about 6 miles due east of us close enough by the way. We have gone by to see the destruction I didn't take pictures just didn't feel right. But it is so surprising to see what it can do. I lived in Corpus thankfully no hurricane I did evacuate 1 time with Eric but that was it. We were there when we thought Rita would hit but she turned so we had a "No Rita" party. In Tyler we just got wind not too bad there. But here i have to say is a little more scarier for me. I had told the kids that morning they would probably go to the safe room at school but don't worry its really safe and i said mommy will be in the closet protected their dogs. So at 245 the weather radio went off and i headed for the closet w/dogs in tow. I had prepared it earlier that day. I talked to jay but then we lost all phone use and tv so just sit and wait. I was a long 2 hours especially waiting to get the kids i knew they were tired and hungry. Once we were able to pick them up we were relieved. We will be looking at getting a storm shelter but they are backed up now. Our friends behind us are getting one in 2 weeks and said we can go to theres so I am sure I will be taking them up on that one. The weather is cold again but hopefully we will see the sun by MARCH..Here are a few picks of the hail at the house

Finally its February we are watching the puppy bowl then the superbowl tonight..GO PITTSBURGH!!!!BOO HEHEHE. Erics cheering for the Cardinals...Well the weather is getting warmer and the kids are starting to feel better. The lady across the street brought us over some Chicken Taco soup, she is really nice. Eric wanted to shovel the ice off the back porch it was a tough job. We met the couple buying the house next door, they are moving from Dallas and wanted to get back to Oklahoma. They have 2 young beagles that our dogs already met. They are planning on putting up a fence as well so we will be working with them on that...I am somewhat getting settled here but I have my days. Jay likes his job and he now comes home at a decent hour and that is great especially at homework time. I forgotten how much i didn't like math in school guess i can re-learn it now...

The Culprits in the pond
Well we knew one day it would happen just didn't know when, scooby found the nearby pond. Yesterday when I went to go look for him I could not find him and I knew Eric would be very upset if i didn't. So I got in the truck and as soon as I turned to corner there he was playing. I guess he was tempted by the ducks flying by and had to chase them. He did get in trouble but didn't learn his lesson since we had to go look for him the next morning before Eric would go to school.
Also notice in the picture jay made a small fence for abbi to stay in while outside but she can now jump it so we will have to get a fence very soon for my own sanity and theres.

hello friends and family
Well to say its been cold here is an understatement, at least to me it is too cold. I haven't got use to the 20 degree temperatures here much less the 30's but it could be worse, we haven't went through tornado season. From what I hear we do not hear the sirens from where we live and the satelite tv gets knocked out so hopefully a nice neighbor will get word from someone in OKC and they will forward it on hahahaha no we do have a emergency radio that we will keep on during that time.
The kids have started school and jordan had her first grade perfomance on Thursday Jan 15th and she did very good. They have really nice teachers and have each made some friends..The schools here were alittle ahead but they are catching up very well. I take the kids to/from school since they don't want to be on the bus for 45 mins its really close to the house plus their hours are 845 to 345. Great for jordan but eric wants to get there early.

well i hope everyone had a great new years eve, we had a good time as well. The kids popped all the fireworks and of course the dogs went crazy..for some reason they like the taste of fireworks. The next day they played with the boxes and rode on the scooters. They had to chase abbi a few times once she gets outside there is no stopping her and there is alot of room to run so it makes it harder. We are getting a fence soon just getting qoutes and seeing which the association will let us have. We later enjoyed the Fried Turkey, cabbage and peas...

Turner Falls, Oklahoma

We stopped at the scenic view to see Turner Falls over Christmas break. Jay and I had went there when we lived in Oklahoma 12 years ago and wanted to see it again. Jay told the kids how I dropped my camera in the falls and they ask if its still there, its not but the camera doesn't work anymore...Anyways enjoy the pics.

Well the kids did like the house and location we picked so we did good. Well we have been here for 2 weeks now and have met a few of the neighbors. The principal of the kids school lives across the street and she seems nice. School starts at 8:45 and the kids liked that also they will go on Tuesday. I have learned my way around alittle better especially since jay got me a GPS for christmas i have used it alot the kids are happy since i haven't gotten lost as much and they now they say "recalculating" if i miss my turn. The house is starting to get cleared out of boxes and we will be working on it alot the rest of this break. The kids and dogs have enjoyed the big backyard scooby stays in the garage mostly but he does venture around since he likes it outside except for the cold nights.

Well its here the day I have been dreading...We are heading to Oklahoma on wednesday and the kids will get to see there new house for the first time..I hope they like it..Eric is being a trooper but Jordan was upset today I am hoping Abbi will help..I am going to miss all my great friends in Tyler but its only a 5 hours drive and I will be back especially over the summer. And I know ya'll will come and see us as well we have 5 bedrooms and an office so there is plenty of room No excuse.
Tomorrow Eric will be signing his book he wrote for school at Barnes and Noble he is very excited about that. I will send pics soon and of course the book is about Scooby.
I will be off the blog for awhile but will let everyone know once we are back on.
Also just if any of you are wondering Jay is actually enjoying Abbi i caught him holding her. Too cute I did take pics..

Our Newest Addition

Jay finally let Jordan and me have the dog we wanted for Christmas...Her name is Abbigail Georgia Lopez(Eric says she has a big head like George Lopez).She is a Boston Terrier and is 12 weeks old. She now weighs 5 pounds and should just get up to 10 pounds. The dog belong to our neighbor but it just started to get to be to much for them and they asked us if we wanted her. We have grown to love her and we said yes but it was up to Jay. It took him awhile but he agreed and this has really helped Jordan on her transition to Oklahoma next week

One even took the camera and took some pictures but they all had hands in the pictures. I gave her some presents after school of course she wasn't happy with one of them you will see in the picture but she has since changed her mind about it..

Jordan celebrated her birthday with her close friends(Eric invited his friends too). They all had a blast running around and playing. We had the girls scrapbook a page about Jordan for her to bring them to Oklahoma. Jordan got her american girl doll, Julie. I also took Jordan and Eric to see the movie "Bolt" and the next day we drove to Jays parents for Thanksgiving.

We are heading to Jays parents in Georgetown, TX for thanksgiving. Hope everyone enjoys there day and eats as much as they want too. My favorite is Turkey and Dressing least favorite Pumpkin Pie..Take time to give thanks today..I give thanks that i got to meet lots of friends along the way and I got to live in Tyler, Texas. well we have had a few lookers this week and even a second showing on the house, which is good because if I have to deal with this much longer I will go crazy. Jay is driving me insane. I think I may have to tell him to stop coming home on the weekends-for his own safety. He seems to continue to be in "boss" mode when he walks in the door Friday. I keep this house up all week long, I take care of the kids all week long, he comes home and questions everything. He gets mad that we just want to chill over the weekend and the kids want to play with their friends. I don't mind that, they want to spend time with them before they move and never see them again..He chose to go up to Oklahoma without us then he has to deal with it we both have to make sacrifices right now. I don't understand why we haven't got to move up there yet, I wanted to move over the thanksgiving weekend but that has changed. We don't need to buy a house there we can live in a townhome or something we have done that with every other move....Not sure whats going on I know it had to do alittle with me since I wasn't sure if I was moving or not....
We are having Jordans birthday this Sunday along with there going away party and Jordan said "mommy I think I am going to cry at my birthday party cause i don't want to move" and I said "don't worry it's okay to cry I will be crying too"

The kids enjoyed trick or treating with their friends. I went as Sarah Palin(future VP hopefully) my glasses our the transitions lens so they were dark but it still worked...We went to some friends house for a party later that night for the kids, they were tired so I took them home, Jay arrived later. We finally stopped handing out candy at 9:30...

when is enough enough, when you tell him you don't want to leave this place that you have grown to love, when you want so bad to say i will only go if you promise me we will stay there until the kids graduate. Its not just I want to stay here in Tyler I do but I just want to take a loonnnnggg break on moving... I fear that when/if I go to Oklahoma I may have resentment towards jay and I don't want that. I also don't want to go and 2 years later we move again. Every move is so hard, having to start everything all over not just for the kids but me too. Corpus was hard to leave(especially watching Eric cry) and I was angry at jay for the longest but I knew I needed to leave their . I didn't want Eric to go to the next school. So I knew God had his hands in that. I am sure he does this time but I always felt God wanted me to find Tyler since I feel so calm here, I don't know what it is about here. Its home to me. Stay in Tyler, go to Oklahoma arghhhhhh. I know this isn't all about me and Jay does have his career but when is enough, enough.

I understand that loving a man shouldn't have to be this rough.....

pumpkin carving day

Every year I let Jay and the kids carve a pumpkin so this year we did it early since Jay has started his new job in Oklahoma. Jordan drew the face on the pumpkin and jay cuts the top off so they can scrap the insides and get all the pumpkin seeds. They love me to roast the pumpkin seeds with just salt and then they eat them up. We are busy this week, Eric has a birthday party on wednesday, then we have trunk or treat at St. Gregorys on thursday then friday is halloween. Then we have BOO at the ZOO on sat/sun not sure which day. Jordan will go as Mitchie(Camp Rock) on thursday and as Hannah Montana on Halloween and Eric will be a headbanger/rocker. I will post/send pics as soon as I get them up.... Happy Halloween

Well we had an open house on sunday and had a total of 2 people. I know the market is bad, the economy is a little unsteady, banks worried and wanted more money down the list goes on and on. I am still unsure with getting a house in Oklahoma I guess I could always keep my home in Tyler as a vacation home since i want to come back here every chance I get. I know the kids would like that.. I felt like I had a real family here. So we will come back here to visit. I do know that Eric wants to get to Oklahoma soon so he can start meeting new friends. We are looking at going soon and picking out a house to hopefully be in by Thanksgiving and then start decorating for Christmas. I think we may get to have our 2nd snowy christmas. Our first was Corpus in 2004 and that was a miracle.
The kids are doing well in school Eric had 4 A's and 1 B on his report card and Jordan got all E's. Jordan is doing better with her reading and math. She gets tutoring on both everyday at school then we work on it after school as well. They have both made lots of friends and are looking forward to halloween at home in Tyler. Jordan is going to be Mitchie(camp rock) and Eric something scary i assume. The kids have parties these next few weekends and it happens to each of their best friends birthdays(Maggie and Hart).

well today is Jays last day with Baker Atlas, its alittle sad to see it ending since he has been there as long as we have been married. I feel like I lost alittle of ourselves with this change like he wanted something new, a change maybe well what else does he need to change?? I have been struggling with leaving Tyler much less Texas hopefully it will get better as it gets closer. I think I just hate seeing the tears in the kids eyes as they leave another group of close friends behind and worry that will they have a hard time later in life with getting close to people..I know they're young they'll be fine but will they...I know Jay is excited about going to work for Weatherford and his new position. I guess thats all that matters..Keep us in our prayers as we are trying to sell a house and buy a new one at the same time...

the good news is everyone who went thru IKE is alive and well though they may have lost/damage material possessions they can still be grateful for their life.....it will be awhile for the electricity to be back on for many.... we had alot of rain and wind..After watching the weather reports all day the kids got out and each made there own. I will try and get them on if I could ever figure it out...Eric was more talk and Jordan was alot of screaming....We are still waiting on word about OK the last of the paperwork was sent on thurs but then that hurricane hit and houston is shut down...this has been the hardest and most stressful move I am beginning to wonder if something is trying to make us change or mind....oh well Jays not superstitious....take care stay safe

Wow school has started...the kids were excited well the night before they both were then in the morning Jordan hated school since she didnt wont to wake up. We ended up putting Eric in school with Jordan and he seemed to like it he made a friend that plays RuneScape. Its easier now having them both in the same school and not having to depend on rides. I was alittle bored with myself not having to watch them fight with each other all day. But I am trying to focus on cleaning the house and boxing stuff up I am not sure how the job in OK is looking since it seems to have stalled but hey i wouldn't mind staying here in tyler........TTYL

Today is our 12 year Anniversary....Jay bought me some roses and gave me a sweet card. Later we will go out to eat and then relax....We are starting the kids at Jack Elem in Tyler tomorrow since we are still waiting to hear about Oklahoma, hopefully we will here something on Monday I swear this has given me more stress than any other move. well we are still in limbo here in my favorite city TYLER-which by the way is the best place I have ever lived-so Edmond has alooooottttt to live up to....hahahaha....the kids are not in school yet we should be decided on that this weekend......this has been very frustrating on all of us..but anyways we will keep this blog updated regularly as well as Eric chiming in with his thoughts.
